Burger Malaysia or Pau Sambal?



My son has been commenting on my food presentations! 'Mum why are your plates in blue?...Bolehlah, son...ni baru nak cuba2 blogging...nanti dah expert boleh lah susun cantik2..kan.

Bahan bahan
200g tepung gandum
140ml susu or air
2 sudu besar butter/margerine
21/2 sudu besar gula halus
1/2 sudu kecil garam
2 sudu kecil dry yeast
minyak untuk menggoreng
-sambal ikan bilis
-timun

Cara cara
1.Masukkan ke dalammangkuk bahan bahan . Uli sehingga tak melekat kat tangan. Buat bulat besar. Biarkan kembang 2 kali ganda.
2. Lepas tu, tumbuk tumbuk doh roti tadi untuk keluarkan angin. Kemudian bahagikan kepada 8 bahagian. Buat bentuk bulat.
3. Biarkan naik 2 kali ganda lagi. Kemudian goreng dalam minyak yang sederhana panas sehingga kekuningan.
4. Belah 2 roti yang dah masak tapi jangan sampai putus . Isikan dengan sambal bilis dan juga timun yang dihiris nipis nipis.

Ang ku kuih


This Ang Ku Kuih recipe was given to me by one of the blogger which I requested. He got this recipe from the book by AMY BEH. Thank you Bro Rozzan.

Bahan2:-
150 g keledek(buang kulit & potong berketul ketul)
465 g tepung pulut
50 g castor sugar
2 sudu besar minyak jagung
1/2 sudu teh garam
150 ml santan cair & 300 ml santan pekat(diperah dari 1 biji kelapa parut)
pes kacang hijau
1/2 tsp pewarna makanan merah
daun pisang(dipotong cukup besar untk melapik dasar acuan)

Cara2 nya:-
1. Rebus keledek hingga empuk. Toskan dan lecek sehingga halus dengan alat melecek kentang.
Campurkan separuh tepung beras dgn keledek yang di lecek. Ketepikan.
2. Bubuh gula, minyak jagung, garam dan santan cair kedalam periuk sederhana besar lalu didihkan. Masukkan pewarna merah sambil kacau. Tambah baki tepung pulkut tadi dan kacau sehingga doh rata. Angkat dari api.
3. Kemudian, campurkan doh panas ini dgn bancuhan keledek dan tpg pulut tadi. Masukkan santan sedikit demi sedikit dan uli sehingga doh lembut. Masukkan kedalam mangkuk lalu ditutup dgn tuala bersih dan ketepikan.
4. Bahagikan doh kepada 20-22 bahagian yang sama besar dan bentukkan menjadi bebola. Leperkan setiap bebola dan bubuh inti pes kacang hijau ditengah-tengahnya. Lipat bahagian tepi doh utk membaluti inti pes kacang hijau.
5. Tekap bebola doh kedalam acuan ang ku yang di sapu minyak untuk membuat kesan bercorak.
Kemudian, perlahan-lahan keluarkan ang ku dan bubuh diatas kepinagn daun pisang. Ulang proses ini sehingga doh selesai.
6. Kukus ang ku diatas air mendidh dgn api sederhana selama 8-10 minits. Keringkan permukaan tudung kukusan utk mencegah wap air drpad menitis keatas ang ku.

PES KACANG HIJAU
Bahan2:-
600 g kacang hijau(tanpa kulit)-basuh dan rendam semalaman dan toskan
150 ml air
6 helai daun pandan (diikat simpul)
575 g gula pasir

Cara2:-
Kukus kacang hijau selama 30-40 minit sehingga lembut. Lecek dgn pelecek kentang ketika kacang hijau masih panas. Ketepikan.
Bubuh air kedalam kuali. Masukkan daun pandan dan gula lalu didihkan diatas api kecil. Kacau sehingga gula larut dan menjadi sirap.
Masukkan kacang hijau lecek tadi dan kacau rata-rata sehingga bancuhan hampir kering.
Keluarkan daun pandan dan ketepikan bancuhan supaya sejuk. Bentukkan pews kacang hijau menjadi 20-22 biji bebola kecil.

Sayur Peria dan Sotong Goreng Taucu

Today lunch goreng sayur pria dan sotong. Got the recipe from another blog 'koleksi resipi pilihan diana'. Something new to me, but the lauk a bit muak.... Normally sayur pria ni I goreng dengan bawang cili hiris tarok telur.
Ingredients:-
2 peria katak ( I pakai pria biasa aje)
2 sudu besar cili mesin
2 sudu besar tauchu(tak payah tarok garam sebab dah masin)
setengah biji bawang besar dihiris
seekor sotong besar yang siap direbus( I tak rebus pun just tarok the sotong last)
serbuk perasa
minyak untuk menumis

Method:
Panaskan minyak masak, tumiskan bahan mesin, sampai naik bau dan garing, masukkan tauchu, peria dan bawang hiris, masak hiongga peria layu, sedapkan rasanya dan akhir sekali masukkan sotong. Hidangkan.

Mr Hubby's Birthday Cake


This was Mr Hubby's birthday cake. Actually on the 10th was his birthday, but got to post only today..Decorated in middle of night, no specific design just go with the flow in decorating this cake..hehe... Chocolate Moist Cake recipe. I have to make it in chocolate cause if not, nobody will touch it and it will stays in the fridge for months!!. Happy birthday to Mr Hubby...
First time I made a cake for him on his birthday...huhu.


Kenwood Major


Actually I was aiming for this for so long already!!... , Both my hand mixer already chialat and in 'ICU'!! One of the mixer cost only $39 and another $70. This one $942, hubby bought for me last 'bonus'...hehehehe 'bila lagi nak ketuk'.... I wanted the 6.7litre can whisk eggs up to 16 egg whites, butters can 2 blocks at one go , went to ' courts' hubby asked the promoter 'my wife here wanted the biggest mixer that u have so that she can bake cakes the whole block can eat'...he actually hinted to me cause I told him I wanted the 'best and good quality that last very long'....I blushed in embarrasment..and gave him ' one higher eyebow' look!!!

Anyway, dont care wat he says as long I get my mixer right????

Vanilla Buttercake


Buttercake decorated with buttercream. See the roses, it takes skill to do a good one. For a 1st timer not bad lah kan(hehehe tekan lift sendiri ni)....need more practise Chef Tania said. Brought home, my kids ate just a little.. cause not chocolate....huhuhu... Packed up the next day, told Mr Hubby to bring to his office and put at the pantry, within seconds left the box only........hehehheehe

Chocolate Moist Cake


I learnt how to make & decorate this moist chocolate cake from chef Tania. It was covered with chocolate ganache. For this cake, I choose kids theme, cause knowing my kids would love the decorations they surely will eat more...

Milo Double Chocolate Chip Muffin


These muffins were one of the favourites. I made these for the 'kenduri doa selamat 100 days my late mother-in-law'. It was like selling hot cakes, running very fast.. I was quite surprise when one by one slowly took the muffins into the room while the men recite the prayers. Basically, it was favourites among the kids.

Ingredients:-(makes 9 big muffins)
270g self raising flour
30g Milo (I put 40g-50g)
1 tsp baking powder
55g butter
80g sugar(I put 100g)
150g milk or semisweet chocolate chips ( I put 20g-30g more)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
225ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract(vanilla essence)

Method:-
1. Preheat oven to 200 degreeC . Grease a 12 cup muffin pan or line with paper muffin cups.
2. Mix the flour, milo and baking powder in a large bowl.
3. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
4. Stir in sugar and chocolate chips.
5. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture all at once into the dry ingredients. Mix quickly until just blended. Do not over mix.
6. Spoon batter evenly into thr prepared muffin pan and bake for 20 mins or until golden brown, and a skewer inserted into the centre comes clean.
7. Cool in the pan for 10 mins then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
