Double Chocolate Banana Cake

Lama rasanya kita tak buat kek yang berasaskan pisang..so kebetulan ada pisang kat rumah..teringin pulak nak makan kek pisang tapi yang bercoklat hitam belegam..hehe ..kita pun google recipe kek pisang...bekenan yang ni ...tapi tengok bahan2nya guna applesauce pulak..mana nak cari applesauce tu ya?..So kita tanya google substitute for applesauce..jawapnya melted butter...so project pun berjalan dengan lancar... tengoklah balance kek kat atas tu bila dipotong, kek yang lembut, moist dan gebu..sedappp... 

Project ni pun dah lama kita upload kat instagram, baru ni nak upload ke blog...boleh kita katakan recipe ni is a keeper..memang one of my favourite... nak buat pun sekejap aje dah siap...Terslack sikit kita potong macam brownies...dahlah orang ingat ini brownies...padahal kek..hehehe...

Double Chocolate Banana Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 medium – banana
  • 3/4 cup – brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup – applesauce, unsweetened-(Ayu used 113g melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon – vanilla extract
  • 1 large – egg
  • 1 cup – flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 cup – cocoa powder, unsweetened-(Ayu used Valrhona)
  • 1 teaspoon – baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon – salt
  • 1 cup – chocolate chips, semisweet-(Ayu used 3/4 cup)
  • 1/8 cup mini chips – chocolate chips, semisweet
  • 3 tbsp milk-(Ayu added)

Directions

  1. In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the bananas and brown sugar until the bananas are mashed and the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the applesauce,(melted butter) vanilla, and egg. Mix together.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until incorporated.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour batter into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the top with mini chocolate chips.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 35 minutes. Check the center with a toothpick to determine doneness. Best eaten warm
