Chappati and Beef Kheema

Additional menu after the Penang Char kuey teow...although Indian dish, but made by a Malay Chinese unqualified cook!!! (who else? ME lah)..hahaha....

Ingredients:-
500g Atta Flour(sieved)
1 cup cold water
1 tsp salt mixed together in water

Method:-
Mix all the above and knead to form a soft dough. When dough has formed, make smaller doughs about 40-50g each. Knead each dough with margarine(planta). Lastly brush with margarine and cover with wet cloth and put aside till time to eat. When time to serve roll dough to a thin layer and fry in flat pan without any oil. When ready, brush some ghee oil on the chapati to make it soft.
Serve hot.

  4. Hi ayu,
Thks for relating a little part of ur family heritage. I love to read n try ur recipes... AND i also enjoy reading ur little "stories" abt ur parents n ur hubby tht u lovingly relate together with ur recipes. The stories are so cute n hillarious tht sometimes i just burst out laughing...ur parents loving bickering...reminds me of my own parents! i wonder - will we become like tht also when we grow old?! :)) I envy ur close r/s with ur mum cos i dun hv tht type of r/s with mine. She is typical Chinese - prefering sons over daughters.:(

  5. Susanna - haha..well u can say i am quite close to my mum, as I am the eldest and only daughter she has..besides my only younger brother who's staying in jb..my parents i would rather say that they are not used to stay with their son & daughter in law..(which normally the case right) not that they cant get along, but they rather stay w me...hehehe..

yes i also wonder if we gets older will we be like that or not ya..hehehe.. about ur mum, i am sure, she loves all her kids very much, its just the thinking (orang dulu2) kan memang macam tu...but to think againkan..normally the daughters lebih ambil berat tentang the parents then the sons tau..if u notice...
