Saw this kat rumah AlongRoz, hari tu...since I have 4 salted eggs in store, I decided to try this..sayang sekali, 4 biji aje yang kita gunakan, kalau tahu kita gunakan 8 biji..hehehe..sebab tak CUKUP!!...ialah, siang makan aje dah habis, malam, terpaksa kita pecahkan telur lagi tapi telur ayam biasa aje..hahaha....
Ada belimbing buluh in stock, so my mum, cakap, buhlah belimbing tu sedap juga kata dia..so I just added dalam 5-10 biji...lain kali since kat sini tak ada jual telur itik, masak gunakan telur asin itik pun boleh .
Dulu pernah masak telur itik lemak gini juga, tapi kita masak kat rumah my brother yang kat JB tu...
Pernah, ada orang comment dulu tak hanyir ke telur itik?..Pada kita tak, sama juga rasanya lebih kurang macam telur ayam biasa so terpulanglah ya ikut selera masing2..
So Along kita minta izin letak recipe nya disini pula ya.. with my slight adjustments.
Ingredients:-
4 Salted Eggs-(Ayu used the low salt-content salted eggs)
4 Shallots*
Some Chili Padi*
1 Green Chili*-(Ayu tak letak)
2" Fresh Turmeric* (* pounded)
1 bowl Thick Coconut Milk-(Ayu used 1 small box-200ml)
1 Turmeric Leaf
1 Lemongrass - bruised
1 Dried Tamarind
Salt + msg-(Ayu tambah)
4 Shallots*
Some Chili Padi*
1 Green Chili*-(Ayu tak letak)
2" Fresh Turmeric* (* pounded)
1 bowl Thick Coconut Milk-(Ayu used 1 small box-200ml)

1 Lemongrass - bruised

Salt + msg-(Ayu tambah)
water to estimate-(Ayu tambah)
5-10 belimbing buluh dibelah 2 -(Ayu tambah)
Method:-
1. Place all ingredients, except eggs, in a pot/wok & let it boil while stirring most of the times to prevent the coconut milk from curdling.
2. Poached eggs in it & do not stir until the eggs are done to avoid from breaking.
3. Serve with white rice....ummmh!

kak ayu, masak lemak macam ni memang peberet Ain...bertambah kalau makan...he..he..tapi mas guna telur ayam, telur itik tak berapa suka la...

mas - aah mas, masak lemak gini memang favourite kat rumah akak pun..tak kisahlah telur itik ke ayam..hehe
