Cucur Udang Geragau

Salam tengahari Jumaat yang agak berkabus ni...harap semua dah dapat rasa sorang sikit kek coklat yang kat bawah tu ya..hehe..alah yang ada dah dapat colit pun coklatnya tu... dah makan manis, meh makan cucur udang geragau pulak...recipe from CMG, cucur  ni dah 4 kali buat termasuk ni, cuma yang terakhir buat ni aje yang sempat diambil gambar...I used udang geragau yang fresh punya, beli kat apek jual ikan yang dah ready packed 1 bungkus S$2..itu pun tak sempat nak kasi dia sebati(put aside sekejap) dah terus goreng, mungkin kalau ketepikan sekejap  my cucur ni cantik aje macam CMG's cucur udang, gebu gitu...I goreng pun garing sikit, memang suka gitu..hehe sedapp ler itu sebab buat dah a few times, ada kentang dalam nya yang I suka..

BAHAN-BAHANNYA :-)
70 g udang geragau kering (kalau yang segar, guna 150 g)-(Ayu gunakan yang segar)
1 biji bawang besar, didadu
1 biji kentang, didadu kecil2
1 biji cili hijau hiris halus
1 biji cili merah, hiris halus
3 tangkai daun sup, hiris-(Ayu lebihkan -daun sup & daun bawang)
3/4 camca teh garam
1 camca teh baking powder
2 cawan tepung gandum
1 3/4 - 2 cawan air suam (kurang lebih)
Sos cili, sebagai pencicah

CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)
  1. Udang geragau direndam, cedok udang yang timbul dan asingkan dalam bekas lain, rendam lagi sekali dengan air yang baru. Ini kerana udang geragau kering dikhuatiri mengandungi pasir2 halus, jadi bila rendam pasir dia jatuh ke bawah, kalau guna yang segar, buang kotoran, cuci dan toskan.
  2. Dalam satu bekas, masukkan udang geragau tadi (toskan dahulu), bawang besar, cili hijau/merah, daun sup, kentang, kentang dan garam. Gaul rata.
  3. Masukkan tepung dan baking powder, kacau rata dan tuang air suam tadi sedikit demi sedikit hingga mendapat adunan yang sempurna (tidak terlalu cair), kiranya boleh di"jemput" dengan tangan untuk dibuat cekodok.
  4. Goreng dalam minyak sederhana panas dengan kaedah mencedok dengan sudu atau men"jemput" dengan tangan, pastikan anda basahkan hujung jari sebelum men"jemput" adunan tadi. Goreng hingga kuning keemasan, angkat dan letak atas paper towel. Hidangkan bersama sos cili....

    One of my fav - cucur udang geragau! Can we still get fresh geragau in sg during Dec? Hope u can advise where to beli,ya?
    Kalo beli now, do u think ok to freeze for further 2 mths?

  4. Susanna - the fresh geragau, kadang2 ada kadang2 tak ada..yes if you get the fresh ones you can keep in the freezer for that long..for me too once I saw them at the market, I would buy at least 2-3 packets and just use one at a time..hehe..

    normally i got it from the wet market
    from the fishmongers, they already ready packed and sold at S$2 each..not sure about supermarket, if you cant get the fresh ones, maybe u can try the dried ones?..

    Which wet market did u buy the fesh geragau? The dry ones dun taste the samelah! Kelmarin, when i live in bishan for 10yrs - never ever seen the fresh type in the wet markets or ntuc...

Susanna - I bought at my house wet market, wet pun tak berapa wet lah...u know the stalls in shops punya after the fishmongers finished their sales, their shut down their roller shutters?..as I said, this udang geragau ikut the fishmongers punya mood, sometimes if lucky ada jual banyak2..but kalau tak ada 1 pun taka da..hehe..
    normally i bought kat my area in marsiling..

    Kat malaysia - situation is the same. My mum saya very diff to get the fresh type - available pulak only in certain mths!
