Lasagna - 13th Day Iftar

This was our main menu and Dory Fish Fillet with tartar sauce and fries was what we had yesterday for our 13th day iftar..with 2 hours left, you can imagine how I jumped around the kitchen...luckily I have taken out the balance of the other day's pizza gravy from the freezer....with the intention of making this lasagna lah... quickly cut the green peppers and cauliflower, and cheese sauce for the toppings..

Made the cheese sauce, while the kuih harum manis were steaming on the stove...marinate the
dory fish and etc...etc.lastly fried the fries and...Huuh, at last managed to finish everything on time...

Seafood Sauce:-( My own version)
1 bottle pregos tomato sauce( small bottle) + 1 bottle of water
2 medium size squids cut to preference
10 small size prawns
1 big onions diced
2 garlics chopped small
1 tomato diced
2 tsp chili powder
2 tsp all Italian herbs
1 tsp pepper
1-2 tsp black pepper
salt to taste
1 chicken cube
a little bit MSG
For Sauce:- Heat oil and fry onions, garlic till soft. Add in diced tomatoes, chili powder, pepper, black pepper, chicken stock and seafood. Stir well. Add in pregos sauce and 1 bottle of water.(1 bottle of sauce to 1 bottle of water). Let it simmer till cook. Turn off heat and put aside for topping.

Ingredients for Cheese Sauce:- (I used half ingredients)
1 box Cheddar cheese(Kraft) -250g grated
600ml fresh milk (warm up slightly)
250ml water
3 tbsp butter
4 tbsp plain flour
a bit of black pepper powder
Method for Cheese Sauce:-
Heat wok(best if its a non-stick wok). Using a medium small heat, add in butter. When butter has melt, add in flour and whisk till incorporated with the butter. Keep on stirring so as not to make the flour burnt. Add in half of the warm fresh milk and keep on stirring with the whisker so as not to get a lumpy mixture. Add in the balance milk and water and keep on stirring so as the flour do not stick to the base of wok and get burnt. When the sauce has boiled, add in the cheddar cheese and stir well. Add in black pepper and let it boil till cooked. Turn off heat and cheese sauce is ready.

1 packet instant lasagna(soaked in water)
Method for lasagna:-
Preheat oven to 180C. Pour 1/2 cup of the seafood sauce into a lightly greased baking dish. Alternate layers of lasagna, seafood sauce, sliced cauliflower and green pepper and cheese sauces, ending with cheese sauce layer. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese and bake in oven for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through (test if cooked by pricking with a fork). Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Haaa..lasagna ni pun satu!! dah beli dah kulit dia tuu dah dekat stgh tahun tak buat2!! hihihi..kita tak reti dan campur malas2 byk sikit tang nak buat dia punyer sauce tu :D..
