This what we had for lunch today...Uuuh!! sedap! and pedas.. smoke came out of my ears!!..hehehe...I sip the gravy, like nobody business...(macam hirup sup gitu) my mum sampai shake her head...added to the fishes are fresh and the gravy I tumis sampai garing barulah terasa...ishk jemput tengok ya..hehe
Ingredients:-
500g stingray cut to preferences
2 tomatoes cut quarterly
1/2 cup tamarind juice
water to estimate
salt to taste
oil for frying
some celery (I just used daun kesum)
20 birds eye chillies*
2 tbsp black pepper*
2cm ginger*
2cm fresh turmeric roots*
2cm belacan (dried shrimp paste)*
2 garlics*
6 shallots*
1 lemon grass*
Method:-
Wash and cleaned fish and soaked in lime juice+tamarind juice+ salt and drained.
Heat oil and stir fry *blended ingredients till fragrant and oil goes up the surface.
Add in tamarind juice and water. Let it boil for a while. Add in the fishes, salt and tomatoes. Let it simmer for a while till the gravy thickens a bit. Add in sliced celery and serve with hot rice.
